My 2016 X1 has a Magneti Marelli EN2 Entrynav headunit with 8.8" (non-touch) screen -- the interface looks like NBT ID4 -- and Unique Auto Developments told me their product is compatible with this headunit, but not the new one.
They also mentioned they would have a product specifically for the new headunits coming out in a couple of weeks.
