The only person who can answer that is yourself. Everything has it's pros and cons. It also has several variables that only you can experience. Ex. what is your daily commute, how aggressive do you drive, do you get a lot or rain/snow, what tires will you be getting on them, do you like launching your car from stop or around bends, etc.

Personally I like the torque down low, city driven only, and I get the worst of all weather here. The regular X2 is fine, but a toy of a car would be an M2 for me.

Go for a test drive when it is available.
