I don't think you have strange behaviour I think it's a miss understanding of the mirror operation. To the best of my knowledge only one mirror dip's when selecting reverse, and depending upon whether the vehicle is left or right hand drive this will be the passenger side "only" The operation of the dipping function is determined by the mirror selection switch within the driver's side operating switch panel. That is unless anyone else knows anything different
