So from what I've heard from public health officials and folks that seem to be in the know the fatality rates won't be properly determined for about 2 years when the stats actually get calculated. Just take a step back and think about this, they have no idea how many people are infected, many many of the infected don't realize they are, and if they aren't showing clear signs then they won't even be tested (therefore confirming they are infected), so what the experts are saying is somewhere around .5% fatality rate is likely more realistic. Still a high number but not the 7-8% some are reporting.
Yes, this is bad. The big concern is overwhelming the healthcare system and disrupting supply chain.
