I bought it for $750 here in Southern California. It's good for 5 years and unlimited miles. It was a must buy for me since I have RFT and the CPO already came with premium wheels so I don't plan on switching them out anytime soon (if ever).
Also TS you are correct, the insurance is handled by a 3rd party - not BMW.
