No change in engines. Biggest change will probably be the digital instrument cluster, which might actually come as standard (as BMWs competitors are all doing it). I actually prefer the analogue one, so I don't care much about the facelift.

New grill looks nice tho, makes the car look bigger.

I do actually. The grill is the most distinguishable BMW feature and they are aligning the X1 with the rest of the lineup, with size and shape. This will make the current model seem "old".

Also, although I don't understand this, people nowadays seem to insist a lot on digital instruments. This will also push the value of the facelift a lot.
