With todays battery tech it becomes a packaging problem when designing hybrid cars(batteries, electric motors, combustion engine, and all components that go along with both systems). You can only find room for so many batteries. Doing this all while also trying to keep weight down some what, has to be difficult. I understand what you're saying and it's valid for sure I still think 40 miles is pathetic

I'd rather have one electric car and the other gas until the packaging and weight is seriously reduced
