You hood isn't out of alignment. It's more serious than that. There are 3 latches that hold the hood down. Your passenger side latch needs to be repaired. Did you try opening the hood by pulling on the release 2 times? If you look at the locking mechanism you can sometimes reset it yourself with a screw driver.
