I went with the dual diverter valves (DDV) instead of the BOV because I did not want the blow off noise (actually my wife did not want it - she just wanted to hear the roar of the Eisenmann Race Exhaust on her car). However, either serves the same function - letting the turbos spin up a little faster.

The FMIC is a bargain imho because I had all of our other modifications installed on the car first, including the ESS Stage II tune before the FMIC was added a couple of weeks later. That delay was necessary because it took a couple of trips to Stett for them to perfect the mounting bracket for the e89 (ours was the test bed for the FMIC). So, that is a long way of saying that once the FMIC was added you could tell without question that it pulled harder and longer than the stock unit. I am sold on the benefits of the FMIC and it should help long term reliability with the colder intake temperatures.
