If the process is anything like it is for other F-gen cars, then you can probably have it done by kubax86, another bimmerpost member.
He unlocked fullscreen carplay for my F87 and does other models too. It's worth a shot.
Just PM him, and for $45 (if you already have carplay, or $65 if you don't yet) he can unlock it for you. If I recall correctly, he just sends you a VIN-specific file to put on a USB, which you later plug into your car to upload. Easy peasy.
