It's not hard on the xi just more involved. Removing the front drive shaft made life much easier for me. 8 bolts and it's out. I would recommend this mod for everyone. Speed shifts and power shifts are the way they should be firm and crisp no stupid delay. I put a modded one in so BMW would never know, the modded ones are BMW parts so they look identical.
