3 friends you say? wow that would really be a bad statistic for such a device, but still the f30 MMI post is full of people happily using the unit for over a year. I'm personally using it for 6 months, nothing is lagging or being disconnected (using wireless Carplay). Sure, there was one issue I had but it was solved easily.
Don't get me wrong, installing NBT EVO would be a great update for any car, but just for Carplay?? 1000+ euros/dollars for the equipment plus X more euros/dollars for coding just for Carplay?? then better find an used Entrynav2 where you can simply code/unlock carplay (plus code the HU) if you don't want to install any additional boxes in your car... or simply take 30 minutes to install the MMI yourself and since it's plug & play basically there's no extra coding involved... plus it's about 200 euros/dollars.
