absolutely, i'm in!
as far as points go, you're right in that it is more of a safe (blue chip) investment to buy a good chassis or engine as you aren't putting all your eggs in one basket (one driver/car), however sometimes the risky prevail. even if you have ferrari for example, and massa and alonso qualify and finish 1,2..... it's still more profitable to have the driver who finished 1st.
but it's alot harder to get that right frequently.
