I've only used the sliding seat option as well as the "auto open" on my wife's X1 like once or twice. I now added an X2 m35i for my own car and this last trip to the airport for thanksgiving I wish I could have slid the seats to better fit all the luggage I was transporting. I still managed though. Personally the HUD is really nice, I would be debating for that more than the sliding seats.
