For non-Xi I would prefer Blizzak on 17" for that extra edge on traction. For Xi Dunlop 3D (or M3 DSST/ROF if you want runflats like I do for the winter, so you won't have to worry about emergency tire change on the side of the road when it is freezing cold and sh*tty outside) on 17" would be more than sufficient.
