WiFi enabled coffee maker. Grab your phone, hit start, take your time getting out of bed.

They also have timers, but whether a timer or WiFi or pushing a button, someone still needs to measure and fill it with coffee and water (either in the a.m. or the night before). Based on my experience, that is the most likely complaint in this case.
