just try process of elimination, if the carrier is the problem then all youed need is the carrier, do some cross checking with REAL OEM. when I did my upgrade before I put the 135 6 piston calipers on the car I went to the local auto parts store and bought the SI caliper and carrier for cheaper than used ones, and they were lifetime warranty and everything bolted up just fine. sometimes BMW did mid year changes or small changes due to certain options so not every car was the same for its entire production run. as some parts gets superseded. and you run into fitment issues, mid year or end year design changes suck as you sometimes run into these issues.
