Just picking a song with Idrive is a 3 step Bullshit process- and NO REDUNDANT VOLUME button down by the roller wheel is a huge misstep IMO. The voice Recognition is terrible (my brother has an F32- bout the same) cant find addresses to save its life. But simply choosing music is just convoluted. The other thing is that the Germans and User Interfaces of software are not the best of Friends- I Sell for a German company and while the hardware is amazing- the software is usually so 1990's. And cant use SAP (German) as an example- that's a multi million $ package that has to be implemented by TEAMS of developers and coders. Consumer front ends like in BMW, MERC and Audi/VW are for the most part- terrible. |
You are revealing your bias. Audi's MMI in the current gen is an amazing system. Perfect voice recognition.
And there are two volume dials, why do you need one by the iDrive? Stupid, IMO.
