i ran oakley race low for a long time. they hold up great, fire retardant and are wider than most. they are also quite comfortable. these shoes are still in great shape after soaking wet autoX days and lots of walking and use. oakley offers a higher top shoe and then more of a boot style.
i also use puma drift cat 4. they are narrower but a bit harder than the oakley race low shoe.
