I.T. was my profession, so I have used VMware before. I installed on my Windows 10 laptop PC, so I am able to take it to my car, and it should have 8 GB or more memory (mine has 16 GB). The only tricky thing I dealt with is the 4K laptop screen (3840x2160 resolution), so text in ISTA+ looked tiny until I tweaked settings in the virtual machine (Windows 7).
Since the database only goes up to 2017, I cannot enter my 2018 VIN for the application to decode/lookup. Instead, I just manually select the make, model and year. You can find information and images by various categories/procedures or do a search by text.
I am still scratching the surface of the ISTA+ functionality. Definitely worth US$9.99. |
