My insurance company gives me a discount on it. They don't even check, just ask me and I say yes and they believe me.
The dealer install price varies greatly, just search here on e90post and you will find many different prices. The install is so simple that if you are just able to take off the rear wheel and undo the fender liner, you should be able to install it. I could probably do another one in half an hour. Then the alarm needs to be activated. I'm waiting for my 1200 mile service to activate it.
