Also think of it this way.. if the car ever got to BMW and they did a courtesy update, then your ECU will be locked, and the tune is down the toilet. Piggyback will always work no matter what. Also the logging ability is really nice.
xcelier8bmw: I just checked this morning and I am running v18. I do believe way back in the day Terry@burger wanted me to update to v18 for the failsafe when he was working on things... but as you guys have shown, v17 seems ok. My timing itself didn't take a dump when I did a quick pull yesterday in the extreme heat so I think I'm perfectly fine with v18 still.

Ok I heard everywhere that additional box is notcthe way to go, it can arms the engine and make lot of problem.So it is definitely not correct ?
