I guess it really depends how people feel about hybrids. In the group of people I know, hybrids are still popular - in that they would rather buy a hybrid over a full EV due to the lack of infrastructure vs. a state like California.

I think for BMW, this type of vehicle still makes sense to most unless you live in a place where there is a supportive infrastructure.

While the urgency for EV's is getting higher, I'm hoping these small advances in electrification through hybrids allows BMW to release a full EV without much shortcomings like the E-Tron and Taycan.
