Help on cooling level

Hi,

I need some help regarding the cooling level of the car F48 18d, 2016.

I observed that the coolant expansion tank is almost empty.
I inserted a stick and I appreciate there are maximum 50 ml of coolant left in the tank.
Surprisingly there is no indication on the iDrive or on the instrument cluster.

I tried to search where is located the coolant level sensor, but I haven't found the answer.
It seems like that there is not such a sensor on the car.
Moreover, the coolant expansion tank does not have any electrical connector on it.
How is this possible?

Does anyone know where is this sensor located?
Or how this car measure the coolant level?

Edited: I checked also a lot of information on newTIS related to the cooling system, but I haven't found anything about a cooling level sensor. It's is missing also from the electrical wiring.
It's really becoming strange how come that this car cannot warn the driver that such an important fluid is below the minimum level !!! 🤔😡
It's warning me about everything else, even the tire pressure, but not about the cooling level!
I suggest to BMW to show a reminder on the iDrive screen, everytime the car is starting, like "Hey driver! Get down on the car first and give an eye check of the coolant level... could be low."

Any ideea about this (possibly-non-existent) cooling level indicator?
Or how this car check it?

Looking forward for your help,

Regards,
Stefan
