There is a thread in the X1 forum.. in order to get a spare tire safely mounted you will need to figure out the hardware/screw and modification needed to hold it down. After that you need to find the right sized spare that would fit over our M brakes and match the tire size. Getting a jack kit is super easy (harbor freight sells a scissor jack almost the same). When I switch to regular tires I will probably just forget it, since I will mostly be within 100 miles of my own home and have AAA towing. Also to note, BMW's come with road side towing for the first 3-4 years anyways.
