I still don't believe BBC will throw away their biggest money maker. Top Gear is a global brand. If they think Top Gear can continue without(James, Jeremy, Richard), then BBC execs have lost their mind.
I actually thought the same thing until I looked up the composition of BBC revenue, 75% of their revenue are from licensing fee that is pretty much mandatory as long as you have a TV. This would barely make a dent to them.
