I pulled my M2 tips out so I can paint it myself as I felt like the aftermarket options were not to my liking. I had to use a 6" gear puller from harbor freight tools and had to use it with a 12 foot socket wrench handle. I also tried using a piece of wood with a mallet and that did not work too well.
