Just to provide an update to anybody reading/following along on this..
I found a Wireless CarPlay adapter on
amazon. It works quite well, the phone will automatically connect to CarPlay without any interaction from me.
On occasion it does seem to lag a little bit when using GPS and Spotify (Ill need to check and see if there are any updates in the software).
Note: the audio skipping still happens, I still assume this is an issue with the AVIN HU and software. I'm curious to know if anybody else who uses the CarPlay adapters experiences this on the AVIN HeadUnit.
