Would not surprise me. I bet it is because they use red loc tite on the screws they supply vs blue. I have installed many dots on pistols & never had one come loose forget about snap screws & hit me in the face
The pistol is on it's way back to S&W. Hopefully, they don't try to charge me for it.
They ignored the parts where I was injured because of it.
Also, curious to see if the 407C holds zero when I reinstall it
