The marketplace for JB4 is a bit different here as opposed to other platforms. For F3x guys, the value of JB4 is holding up very well, and it hasn't changed much for the E9x N54/N55 guys over the years.
Every now and then you'll run into clueless people that will throw blanket statements like flash > piggyback without explaining why. It's mainly because they don't quite comprehend that it's not the method of delivery that matters, but rather the tune itself. The same clueless group will often use words such as,
junk, to describe XYZ product that they've never had any first hand experience with. This is all part of their pretentious act of knowing something beyond their limited knowledge of the subject matter.
In the end, it's nothing worth arguing over. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and people can go with whichever tune makes them happy. There are plenty of people running OEM level tunes and that is perfectly okay, as well.
