Well the lowest stock M3 I have heard of was 3540lbs with full tank of fuel. It only had 19" wheel option. To answer your question, I have been keeping track of various posts on weight savings, here is what I got:
Sunroof: 44lbs
Power seats: ~15lbs
NAV: ~12lbs
Fold Down Seats: ~38-40lbs
Ehanced Audio: ~20lbs
EDC: ~10lbs
DCT: ~44lbs
TOTAL 183lbs
Now if you do this:
Wheels: ~20lbs
Exhaust: ~30-35lbs
Trunk CF VRS: 11.1lbs
Battery: ~30lbs
TOTAL 96lbs
So we have almost
300lbs without doing anything too extreme like removing the insulation, back seats, etc. Sounds good to me and there is more areas you can shave wieght! Anyone who thinks 300lbs doesn't make a difference is kidding themselves.
