Easy to test - leave the key on a chair next to the drivers door.
Wait 5 to 10 minutes.
Without disturbing the key, try the comfort access on the door.
I did this test and my key didn't work. Had to nudge it (motion) for it to "wake up" again.
My car was built Sept '18, delivered October '18 (MY19).
