Agreed. I bought that car when it was 2 years old and put 168,000 miles on it. With basic maintenance it was as solid, quiet and smooth as when I bought it. They just don't make 'em like that any more. I had the stock 3s-gte replaced with a brand new gen 3. Little bit of work done for 300 wheel HP. Perfect for that car. I've had my share of MR2's - '87, '88 supercharged, '92 / '93 Turbo's. Absolutely loved them all. Toyota ruined it with the convertible.
