Actually I am from Hamburg, but I moved to Oldenburg a few years ago...
I really like my hatch but I'm not sure if I should mod it like I planned.
Today I've been at a BMW dealer in Hamburg and fell in love with a saphirschwarz 123d coupe.
Now I wonder if I let my hatch nearly stock and save my money for buying a coupe in 2 years...
It's a hard decision...
There are different reasons for joining an english-speaking forum.
One is that I like how Americans mod their BMWs. It's mostly OEM+
which I like very much.
Another reason is as you said the behavior of german forum members...
"If you have just a 116 you're nothing" - that's one point of view I dislike ...
Of course I join a german forum, too... :wink:
