Sorry to read about your problem. Intermittent faults can be a nightmare to fix, often because the fault does not show when taken in for repair. From your description it looks like moisture is getting into wiring/electronics causing temporary problems. A good specialist should be able to sort using fault codes as a starting point but my best advice is to agree to only bring it into the workshop when the actual fault is showing, it can save hours trying to trigger/replicate the problem.
