Seriously though, after 4.5 months of driving, I agree with all her points. Tyre noise is my only complaint. Event hough mine is 18" + RFTs, unlike the test car (19"), I still find the noise a bit too much for a BMW. It's very quiet on new road surfaces. But that's just 5% of all UK roads. It's a compromise that I'm "OK" with, considering the huge cargo space you get without the spare tyre under the boot floor.

Have to agree there. The only downside I can find is tyre noise it is a bit noisier than I would expect. We are on 19 and RFT though. We looked at the X3 as we had one before breifly and Mrs W preferred the X1 for what she needs the car for.
