In January Oxford BMW had an X3 parked in front of the new X1 for the public to do a direct comparison and as one would expect, they are very different in many respects.
I liked the rear storage area and the fact that you can move rear seats backwards and forwards.
The lady makes comments about sitting high up as in other SUV's. This might be so vs other competition. However, when compared to the X3, you sit quite a bit lower and for me it is a deal breaker. The new X1's roofline is quite a bit lower as well. If you specify many toys on the new X1, the price is comparable to an X3.
