I'd recommend you go and have a test drive of the GLC. Better still, test drive both on the same day. Ultimately, your opinion and reactions to each count for much more than any reviewer, especially in the case of SUVs, where they usually start off with a "truck-like" bias, relative to the sports cars they prefer to test. My 2 cents: the GLC is a good steer for what it is, but it's no C class coupé; nor is the X1 a M135i. But then, why expect that?
