I thought pricing was released already?? From what I saw invoice is 49K and destination is 53K. I even saw an options list. So far things like Nappa leather are not standard. It hasn't. Someone made that up (even though they claim it's from BMW) I can assure you that final pricing hasn't been decided yet for the US.
As for your question. I'd say it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to get an M3 (even a stripped one) for 53k. All indications point to a higher base price than that.
