Not really the Boston area, but I'm down on the Cape with KW V2's. I travel to Boston/Connecticut fairly often and they handle the roads alright. I would say the ride is perfect, EXCEPT for on deep potholes or sharp bumps. For example, large expansion joints on bridges, paving projects where there is a tall short bump, etc. That is the ONLY time I regret the installation, but I have had them on for almost a year and a half.
Overall, it improved the car immensely. This is the first car I have had on coilovers, and I wouldn't change it. The stock ride height and handling on my xDrive wagon was pretty disappointing.
