it is true to an extent!!
if someone earns 50k they wont be able to get a mortgage as large as someone on 100k etc.. so therefore depends how far people push the boat out but in theory the 100k guy can afford a larger house, more expensive cAR! does not mean it will be that way cuz the 100k person may be careful with money and want a small secure mortgage and happy to drive a 300 quid astra
whereas the 50k guy may want a 100% mortgage and spends 1000 a month on a lease on a car?!
etc etc!
