How much different did an E36 M3 look from the regular 3-series or the E46 M3 from a normal 3-series? To many but the real enthusiast, the answer was - not much. Primary difference was in front air dam and fender flares. That same difference exists between the current 3/4 series and M3/M4. I think this is a weak to non-existant argument.
If the C63 AMG or RS5 appeal to you more then you should buy one of them. It is a personal choice that only you can make. Enjoy whatever you choose.
