I got the K&N air intake system recently and running it with the Dinan Sport set at Race Mode (+3PSI). The sound is a lot more noticeable, the engine idles better, and it runs smoother with a bit more power at higher end. But compared to the panel K&N panel filter I was running before, felt like there’s some loss of power at the lower end. (Might be because with the OEM intake box, the air is funnel through the enclosed box instead of the open air setup of the pod filter.) ECU is reset after each swap.
To be honest, I don’t really enjoy the sound of this engine and the turbo. I’d probably go for the AEM setup for a quieter, enclosed setup if I were to choose again.
