In the just over 2 years that I’ve owned mine, the only indication I’ve found is when opening the BMW Download Manager app. So it seems to be just a case of looking in the app from time to time. When there isn’t an update, all I’ve seen is the facility to download the existing version again which is, of course, a waste of time. The only other aspect I’ve noticed is that the app usually downloads its own update prior to my seeing that a mapping update may be available.
So far as FUZZY’s question re which countries of east/west are included, I’m sorry but I don’t know the answer although I’m sure someone enlighten us.
