Unfortunately, I had another surprise tonight. I put the vehicle in park, left the engine running and opened the door. Instead of the display showing "Door Open", I got a warning the "ignition is on". So, I closed the door. At that point, the vehicle shut down. As if I pressed START/STOP. Only that I did not touch anything.
I tend to believe more and more that there is an electronic issue.
