Keyless cars will keep running if the key goes out of range, but they have various anti-theft and safety measures around the condition. At some point, many of them will refuse to move, or slow down in the expectation they'll stop and immobilize. But I don't believe there are hard and fast rules about it, it depends on the manufacturer and the model.

I'll try it on my X2.
Have you had the chance to check it out?

I am just wondering if I didn't do something wrong. Maybe it required to restart the engine before putting it in gear?
