Trying to understand the process to upgrade my 2017 X1 with EntryNav to a second hand EntryNav2. What I think I understand is:

1) It doesn't matter what year or model the EntryNav2 came from. But if my car is a US car, then I should look for a US EntryNav2 Unit.
2) A NBT emulator is needed. With this, all options/FSC's on the donor vehicle will be retained (Nav, Satellite Carplay if I can find one)
3) With an emulator, no coding is needed.

Can anyone confirm the above assumptions?

Questions re activating Carplay:
1) Is there any advantage if the original car had Carplay Prep?
2) Any advantage to donor car having Nav? I think I read that Nav FSC must be purchased too, if the car doesn't have it.
3) Where is the least expensive source for the Carplay FSC Code?
