I put my winter set on today, so I took the opportunity to test the Mercedes spare wheel even tho that I am still waiting for the tire.
Sharing...
It fits and it clears the caliper on the side.
It's not completed yet, I am still waiting for:
- washers to convert conical seat to ball seat
- longer bolts (oe is 28mm I think, I'll need either 43mm or 45mm)
- spare tire.
About the tire, the wheel width is 5.5". I planned to go with a tire 155/70R19. However, the cargo space is too tight. I don't think it will fit, unless I have to remove the mat under it. I hope that I won't have issues to put 135 tire on 5.5" wheel.
Same for the diameter, the space in the trunk is a bit less than 27". The 155/70 tire is 27.5". I'll go with 135/70R19. Its diameter is 26.4".

I should of go with the Mercedes 19x4.5 to but with the offset of 35mm, I was not sure if it would fit.
I'll keep you posted when I'll have the tire. Special order takes 3 to 4 weeks.
