When I check in mine, there is a kind of hidden space toward the bumper. The height of that little extra space is not that much, but I believe a 135 wheel should fit. I measured the length of the space, it was about 27". Our wheel diameter is 27" too.

By curiosity, do you have stock tires? 255/50/18 seems to be bigger than OE size.

Ok, my mistake. You’re right, there’s a depression along the bumper. Dummy me didn’t notice it. My spare Now fits. I also purchased the styrofoam tray but that wouldn’t fit deep enough into the tire so I had to cut away parts of the bottom of the tray to get it to fit
Now all I need is a jack. Which jacks are you all using? Does the jack have a fitting for the rectangular recess of the car’s jacking point?
