Drive is also subjective. I've driven many miles in both an F48 and an E84, both xdrive. Granted the F48 was fully loaded and the E84 a base model.
The E84 is quick and agile, however its much rougher of a ride then the F48 which does a much better job of absorbing rough roads. The E84 is quicker off the line however the F48 feels like a much faster car to drive (I have not driven the i6 E84).
I don't mind the E84, however I'm glad I waited for the F48 before jumping into the X1 family.
